"A good example is Kid Cudi. His song “Day N Nite” and its related remixes were huge this year on the European club circuit, with its minimalist, gated beat and melodic sing-song raps. So huge, in fact, that Diplomats member Jim Jones was inspired to make his own version of the track, with his own semi-professional music video. This is a guy who once made his money on rugged street tracks in the name of drug corner supremacy and here he is, suddenly amped to make a plaintive pseudo-cover of a rap ballad about being a lonely stoner. He’s since dropped shockingly referential raps on a bootleg remix of MGMT‘s “Electric Feel.”

CuDi's unreleased track?

Yesterday I posted a video in which I claimed that CuDi had an unreleased track with some Kanye samples on it. However, now that I listen to it I realized that this was the intro from the Sky High Mixtape by DJ Benzi x Kanye West. So it makes me wonder if this was just another CuDi freestyle or if he actually using this track. Either way it was a nice rap.

Q-Tip sees KiD CuDi as the future of hip hop

In an interview with Eyeweekly.com Q-tip discussed where he saw hip-hop going. In reference to the comment “We’re coming back to a different approach. It’s not going to be De La Soul or Queen Latifah again, it’ll be The Cool Kids and Kid Cudi."

Highline Ballroom December 9th Videos

Not only because it leaked but also because some people are doing some shady activities, people are signing off on CuDi's creativity. Anyways here is the post from his blog.

An Amazing interview courtesy of DJ Semtex, backstage at GITD UK. He hits on topics ranging from "Who is KiD CuDi?", G.O.O.D Music, 808s and Heartbreak, and Clowin' with T-Pain. But the most interesting thing I heard was what I posted as the title of the article. CuDi quoted saying his upcoming album, Man on The Moon: The Guardians, will be "my mixtape times ten." Now obviously we all knew to expect good stuff from CuDi, but I am getting so excited for the album. I can't wait!

DJ-EV just dropped his heavily anticipated mixtape "I Run Ohio. As you may know DJ-EV was the one who leaked the "Paper Planes Freestyle" from KiD CuDi a while ago. KiD CuDi casted on new HBO show.

A new show from the Mark Whalberg production company that produces the hit TV show "Entourage" is making a new show titled "How To Make It." There are not many details as of yet but the most interesting thing for me is that KiD CuDi will be apart of the cast. I think this is an interesting career move, and I can't wait to see the show. Cudi still on 808's and Heartbreak?

In a recent interview with URB magazine KiD CuDi stated that he was in Hawaii working on 808's and Heartbreak with Kanye West. He mentioned that he was going to be featured in two songs on the album. However, since last nights blog buzz about the Kanye West listening event (which by the way sounded incredible) none of the blogs have mentioned anything about Cudi being on the album which has left many people wondering if CuDi is still on the album or are there some unreleased tracks that we may never hear. I guess we'll just have to wait and see when 808's and Heartbreak comes out.

Alright so I thought I would leave you guys with a little teaser of another mashup to come. Robin Thicke - Wanna Love You Girl (Remix) Ft. KiD CuDi

So I went on to youtube with the goal of finding the oldest video of KiD CuDi that I could find. In hopes of finding some exclusive old stuff. And as a matter of fact I did. Here is a remix of Wanna Love You Girl by Robin Thicke featuring KiD CuDi. This dates all the way back to March of 2006. (I think it is the oldest video on there). KiD CuDi to be featured on upcoming Naledge mixtape

According an interview conducted by HipHopDx.com, Kidz in the Hall member, Naledge, is releasing a solo project. He will be coming out with a mixtape this January titled "The Chicago Picasso." On the mixtape he already has features from KiD CuDi, Rhymefest, GLC, and Kid Sister. This sounds like it is shaping up to be a pretty good mixtape so I will be keeping my eye on this one.

Alright people right here we have a blended remix from DJ EMI. I must say that I am very impressed with the two other artists who spit over this, Harlems Cash and Fashawn. Also Mad props to DJ EMI for making this flow well. I have listened to a lot of blends that are just put together very poorly. EMI on the other hand did a nice job. Jim Jones spits over Day 'N Night

Jim Jones taking his turn rapping/singing over KiD CuDi's most famous song Day 'N Night. He uses the same flow that Cudi uses on the track, but he adds a slightly more whiny tone to it. Personally, I am not a big fan of this version of the song. But its up to you to choose of how you thought Jones performed.
